Scottish Apprenticeship Week
As part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week, Whittaker Group Ltd are proud to showcase our current apprentices, there are 11 in training across 3 departments, Machining, Welding/fabrication & Mechanical. Whittaker Group Ltd has been training apprentices since 1983, we have started and trained more than 75 young people in this time.
You may notice that one of the images shows a more "mature apprentice". John Whitely has worked at Whittaker Group Ltd as a welder for 29yrs, since retiring John now works 1-day a week supporting the training of the welding apprentices. John is 74yrs young, the next generation could get no better training, John started his apprenticeship at 16yrs old so knows a thing or two about welding.
