Manual Turning

There is still a need for manual turning, particularly on jobs which are unusually big or difficult to grip. Our highly skilled operators use a vertical borer capable of swinging up to 2.1 metres, and a horizontal lathe which can turn pieces up to 2mx5m, and up to 8 tonnes.

The craft of turning metal.

Manual turning requires skilled hands and keen attention to achieve precise results. The process involves rotating the workpiece against a cutting tool, demanding meticulous control over cutting depth, speed, and feed rate. Experienced machinists ensure tight tolerances and smooth finishes, making it an essential technique in precision engineering applications. Our highly skilled team enjoys using their experience to engineer the finest components.
